A turn Canadian native, Cara Gee was born in Calgary and is part of the Ojibwa tribe. She built a name for herself as an actress in the Toronto theatre world, appearing in plays written by Margaret Atwood and Daniel MacIvor. After appearing in a few short films and having a small single episode part on the TV series King, Cara made her movie debut in Empire of Dirt (2013). As her career on screen began to grow, she landed parts in popular TV shows like Strange Empire and Inhuman Condition as well as starring roles in movies like Red Rover (2018) and Birdland (2018).
